University Assistant (m/f/d) at the Chair of Reservoir Engineering
Department Geoenergy has one vacant position for a full-time university assistant (m/f/d) at the Chair of Reservoir Engineering. Start from the earliest possible date in an employment contract limited to three years. Salary Group B1 according to the Uni-KV, monthly minimum salary excl. Szlg.: € 3.578,80 for 40 hours per week (14 x per year), actual classification is according to previous relevant experience.
Project description:
The position deals with geological CO2 storage as part of the CCS (Carbon Capture and Storage) process chain as a carbon management measure. The aim of the project is to better understand and quantify drying processes and reactive transport processes through the injection of CO2 into porous rock formations. To this end, numerical models will be developed and experimental data collected to calibrate them.
Prerequisites:
- Completed Master's degree in Reservoir Engineering, Physics or related subjects
- Good numerical and experimental knowledge and experience in the field of flows in porous media
Desirable additional qualifications and motivations:
- Active and goal-oriented management of the project
- A high level of motivation, curiosity and ability to work in a team is required
