Department Geoenergy has one vacant position for a full-time university assistant (m/f/d) at the Chair of Reservoir Engineering. Start from the earliest possible date in an employment contract limited to three years. Salary Group B1 according to the Uni-KV, monthly minimum salary excl. Szlg.: € 3.578,80 for 40 hours per week (14 x per year), actual classification is according to previous relevant experience.

Project description:
The position deals with geological CO₂ storage as part of the CCS (Carbon Capture and Storage) process chain as a carbon management measure. The aim of the project is to better understand and quantify drying processes and reactive transport processes through the injection of CO₂ into porous rock formations. To this end, numerical models will be developed and experimental data collected to calibrate them.

Prerequisites:

• Completed Master's degree in Reservoir Engineering, Physics or related subjects
• Good numerical and experimental knowledge and experience in the field of flows in porous media

• Active and goal-oriented management of the project
• A high level of motivation, curiosity and ability to work in a team is required
