Internship Title: 6-Month-Internship in Subsurface Engineering
Hiring Manager: Kienberger Gerhard
Department: EOA-U Subsurface Engineering AT
Location: Gänserndorf
Department description:
Reservoir- and production optimization of all operated oil and gas wells, planning & execution of well interventions and workovers, optimization of the run life of artificial lift systems (e.g. SRPs, ESPs, PCPs, gas lift, etc.), optimization of water injection for pressure maintenance and additional sweep efficiency, planning of new production wells, implementation of production stabilization projects (e.g. reservoir studies, EOR polymer and alkali polymer flooding).
Special requirements:
- Language: German (preferred) / English,
- Technical skills: Scripting, programming (e.g. VBA, Python), basic PETEX &/ reservoir simulation skills, etc.
Interns´ tasks:
- Data entry &/or correction of specific completion data into the database.
- Complete data &/or correction of reference depths for all reservoirs so that all calculations work correctly at reference depths.
- Implementation and testing of defined polygons for automatic Field-HOR-PE allocation for all wells and reservoirs with known wellpaths.
- Transfer of essential well data to the database as an intermediate step for direct data transfer from the workover rigs into the database.
- Creation and testing of a data structure in the database to ensure NFA- and project production forecasts are always available in the reservoir management database for reports and transfer to other data systems.
- Optimization of workover candidate selection through combined evaluation of the reservoir management database and well production database.
- Automation of well capacity updates.
- Roadmap for reservoir management strategy and further production optimization of selected producing fields (e.g., Erdpress).
